AFFORDABLE HOUSING
SAFE & EASY TO ASSEMBLE
STRONG & CUSTOMISABLE DESIGNS
As the name suggests, a kit home is a house you build yourself from the materials supplied. However, it is not economically feasible to have a whole house designed specifically for your needs and then flat packed with comprehensive “join A to B diagrams.” However, our purlins and floor joists are overlapping top-hat sections making them easy to adjust for length, while our bearers and rafters are steel sections with pre-punched bolt holes that align with laser cut brackets.
Manufactured in Bundaberg, we deliver kits throughout Queensland, including Maryborough, Kingaroy and all the way into Northern NSW.
Our main frame portals are readily assembled with only a spanner and are often in place and standing on the first day saving time and construction costs. While these attributes certainly make our “kits” owner builder friendly, there’s still a degree of on-site preparation required as with any building project. Building a ‘kit’ home is not like assembling and clipping together a plastic model aeroplane ‘kit.’
The process begins with drawing up your floor plan. Once you’ve signed off on this we supply the architectural drawings, site plan, the structural engineering and its Form 15 and the Energy
Efficiency Report for you or your builder to lodge with your Local Council or Building Certifier. Once you’re ready and the project is approved, we start delivering the materials to your site in stages to suit your building schedule and financial requirements.
